Multivitamin-mineral are used for prevention and treatment of deficiencies in restrictive eating disorders only. Multiple vitamin-mineral (MVM) supplements contain a variable number of essential and/or non-essential nutrients. Their primary purpose is to provide a convenient way to take a variety of supplemental nutrients from a single product, in order to prevent vitamin or mineral deficiencies, as well as to achieve higher intakes of nutrients believed to be of benefit above typical dietary levels.

Vitamin K2 is used for anorexia nervosa. Zinc is also used for anorexia nervosa. Zinc is an essential mineral that is a component of more than 300 enzymes needed to repair wounds, maintain fertility in adults and growth in children, synthesize protein, help cells reproduce, preserve vision, boost immunity, and protect against free radicals, among other functions.

5-HTP, L-tryptophan, and Vitamin B6 are used for bulimi. Vitamin B6 is the master vitamin for processing amino acids—the building blocks of all proteins and some hormones. Vitamin B6 helps to make and take apart many amino acids and is also needed to make the hormones, serotonin, melatonin, and dopamine.

Vitamin B6 aids in the formation of several neurotransmitters and is therefore an essential nutrient in the regulation of mental processes and possibly mood.

In combination with folic acid and vitamin B12, vitamin B6 lowers homocysteine levels—an amino acid linked to heart disease and stroke, and possibly other diseases as well, such as osteoporosis, and Alzheimer’s disease.

If you have anorexia nervosa, your healthcare provider may ask you to take a calcium supplement (1,000-1,500 milligrams per day) and a multivitamin containing vitamin D (400 international units per day). These supplements help prevent bone loss that results from inadequate nutrient intake and low hormone levels seen in anorexia.

Provigro is backed by clinical trials aimed at demonstrating fast-acting results without dangerous side effects common to prescription drugs. In the independent lab trial Provigro was shown to be 99% effective for psychological or emotional ED and 97.3% effective for men with physical complications including high blood pressure and diabetes.

Enzyte claims to contain:Tribulus, terrestris, Niacin, Panax, Ginseng, Epimedium, Avena sativa, Zinc Oxide, Lepidium meyenii, Muira puama,

-Zenerx Mechanisms and Info:
Zenerx is another herbal supplement that aims to compete with the wildly popular prescription medications for erectile dysfunction. The manufacturer claims that by increasing testosterone and more efficient use of nitric oxide, this product can produce larger erections. Unfortunately, Zenerx’s formula is fairly standard, and for this reason may not be able to deliver on all of its promises. Because it lacks some key ingredients that have been proven to produce significant results, users may find themselves seeking additional supplements.

-Active Ingredients in Zenerz
Epimedium, a plant that has been shown to ease stress, reduce cortisol levels and increase libido; Tribulus Terrestris, which has been shown to increase testosterone; Eurycoma Longfolia to support healthy testosterone levels; Mucuna Pruriens, which is used as an aphrodisiac in Ayurvedic medicine; Maca, a Peruvian root that may increase potency and virility; Shilajit, which is used in Ayurvedic medicine to boost energy and sex drive; Ashwagandha; Ginkgo Biloba, which may help improve blood flow; Pygeum Bark Extract to support good prostate health. One OTC device is the vacuum-constrictor it causes an erection by creating a partial vacuum around the penis, which draws blood into the corpora cavernosa.
ED can sometimes be treated with no additional medicines at all, ED usually has a mental component that is more than physical. Ed can also be caused by unhealthy lifestyles choices, so changing things in the patients life may give them the results they are looking for. Increases in daily vitamins may also help ED.
GlaxoSmithKline has licensed co-development rights to a topical formulation of the widely-used angina drug glyceryl trinitrate that could become the first over-the-counter product to treat erectile dysfunction.MED2002 will be a "rub-on" gel applied directly to the penis for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction. The Directors believe this will become the first pharmaceutical treatment for erectile dysfunction without the need of a doctor's prescription.

The mechanisms of action of most ED drugs are that the vessels in the penis are dilated causing the penis to grow.

The chances of contracting erectile dysfunction goes up substantially with age, increasing significantly above the age of sixty-five-which is rapidly approaching for the baby boomers. Although erectile dysfunction becomes more likely with advancing age, there is certainly no age cutoff for a sexually fulfilling life.
