The fibric acid agent Clofibrate (Atromid-S) is no longer available. Why? BE SPECIFIC—“causes liver damage” is not a complete answer. Who made it? Why was it made available and then removed from the market? Was this a good decision? Why or why not? Which drug(s) best replace it? How to these replacement drugs work differently—ie why don’t they cause liver damage?

“WEB” ASSIGNMENT 5
-posting due by Monday, June 18 at 5 pm
Using the internet OR any available resource, pick one ANS drug of interest. If you can, choose a drug that you, a relative, or a patient you know is taking. Develop a drug teaching plan for the ANS drug that you have chosen. This may be a little more difficult for those of you not in nursing--but think "What does an uninformed patient need to know?"
